Day 1: Chau Doc - Phnom Penh (L/D) Arrival in Phnom Penh by speed boat. Warmly welcome at Phnom Penh Pier and then transfer to your hotel check-in and refreshment. After that we have a sightseeing tour of the charming city with the attractions: Independence Monument - the Independence Monument commemorates the end of Cambodia’s ruled by France in 1953.It was built in 1954, National Museum – was constructed in 1917, this museum shows the fascinating of Cambodia art archeology; Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda Palace – so called because of the 5,329 silver tiles that cover the floor - was built in 1892.
Visit Wat Phnom - a small hill crowned by an active Wat (pagoda) marks the legendary founding place of the Phnom Penh and visit Central Market – this unique art deco building is a Phnom Penh landmark constructed 1935-1937. Overnight at hotel.
Day 2: Phnom Penh – Kompong Thom – Siem Reap (B/L/D) Breakfast at the hotel. Route towards KOMPONG THOM about 168 km, one of the 5 provinces bordering Lake Tonle Sap. En route visit Skun Market known as the tarantulas market (large spider), then Kuha Nokor temple and watching stone carving workshops along the road. Lunch at Kompong Thom. Depart through villages to pre-Angkorian temples of Sambo Prei Kuh, the ancient capital of Angkor before. Continuation of road to SIEM REAP around 147 Km through villages, lowland rice, stop at Kompong Kdei to visit an ancient archaeological bridge at the Angkorian period. Transfer to the hotel for check in. Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 3: Siem Reap (B/L/D) In the morning visit the South Gate, Angkor Thom, This Royal city was first built under the reign of Udayadityavarman II in the 11th Century, the famous Bayon Temple – this temple mountain built by Jayavarman VII is situated in the centre of the city of Angkor Thom. It is a three-tiered pyramid with its entrance facing east. The central shrine is surrounded by 54 towers all crowned by gigantic faces, representing Lokiteshvara but with the features of Jayavarman VII, Baphuon - This temple built by Udayadityarvarman II was the most poorly constructed of all the temples in Angkor. Phimean Akas – this temple constructed late 10th – early 11th century by Jayavarman V. Elephants and Leper King Terraces. The first owes its name to the outstanding depiction of elephants, while the second gets its name from the magnificent sculpture of King Yasovarman, popularly known as the Leper King.
In the afternoon visit one of 7 wonders of the world "Angkor Wat" early – mid 12th century by King Soryavarman II. The temple is one of the largest monuments to religion ever built and is truly one the wonders of the world. Believed to have been constructed as a temple and mausoleum for King Suryavarman II at the peak of the Khmer empire in the first half of the 12th century, Angkor Wat is probably the best-preserved of the Angkorean temples. And then watches sunset view from the top of Phnom Bakheng. Overnight.
Day 4: Siem Reap (B/L/D) Discover the Angkor temples in the small circuit : Thommanun with some very nice walled-doors and stylized devata, Chau Say Tevoda, Takeo one of the first to be build out of sandstone, Ta Prohm was a monastery built by Jayavarman VII as a residence for his mother, It has been largely overgrown by the jungle and as you climb through the dilapidated stone structures you see many giant baniyan growing out of the top of the temple itself, Banteay kdei, this temple was constructed by Jayavarman VII during the 12th and 13th Centuries ( Citadel of the Cells) used to be a religious monastery, Prasat Kravan with a unique bas-reliefs of bricks and Sras Srang used for ceremonies and royal baths.
In the afternoon visit Pre Rup temple – this temple was built in the 10th Century by Rajendravarman. Its proportions are perfect, a truly beautiful piece of work, Eastern Mebon used to be in the middle of the waters of the large Oriental Baray that is presently filled with rice-fields, Neak Poan was supposed to be a symbol of the Universe, and Preah Khan built in 1191 according to the tradition on a spot where the king fought a crucial battle against the Cham. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 5: Siem Reap – Kbal Spean – Banteay Srey (B/L/D) Full day excursion to Kbal Spean (the river of the One thousand lingas) at 55 km to the North of Angkor. In the 10th century, some hermits sculpted the bed of the river that nourished Angkor. You join the site after 45 minutes of walk through the forest. The first plan, the lingas (phallic symbols), here as pavements that gave its name in the site: the "river of thousand lingas", then on the rocks, the faces of divinities, Sleeping Vishnu on a snake, Nandin the bull, Shiva and Urma. While flowing out on these mythological stages, water was sanctified... Then you climb down and lunch in a local restaurant. On the way back, you visit Banteay Srei temple (Citadel of the Women), dedicated to Civa of which the architecture and its sculptures of pink sandstone bears a series of beautiful sculptures, lintels, pediments and friezes present a main work of the art Khmer, then on the way back we travel a nice little road through village and paddies to Banteay Samre temple, this one constructed late 9th century by King Surayavarman II, many of the carvings are in excellent condition. Overnight at hotel.
Day 6: Siem Reap - Departure (B/L) Excursions on Tonle Sap Lake, visit the floating village, mangrove forest, fresh fish exhibition and the activities of people’s daily lives. Lunch at local restaurant. After that transfer to airport for flight departure.
